WKF Spain Delegate Carl Norman
Carl Norman started his martial arts journey at the age of 15. Growing up on a council estate in Liverpool, England meant that you had to look after yourself in some sort of way. He progressed through the ranks and was nurtured to the coveted Black Belt at the age of 19, often training for several hours a day, seven days a week, but he was soon to learn that gaining the Black Belt meant working harder than ever to live up to it and that this was just the beginning.
He quickly became known for combining kickboxing skills with Ju Jitsu and started teaching classes in Sport Ju Jitsu at the WJJF and BJJA headquarters in Liverpool. He was one of the first instructors to be recognised by the then MAC and the governments Sports Council.
Carl has appeared in numerous publications working for some of the top publishers in the world and appearing in several DVD`s to promote martial arts. He was part of the BJJA demonstration team for several years, the governing body for Ju Jitsu in the UK, and has travelled extensively. Currently living in Marbella with his family and running a very successful academy he loves the fact that he gets to meet different people from all over the world in one beautiful place.
He is very proud and honoured to be the delegate for Spain and Mr Colwells personal representative for the WKF in Spain. Growing up in martial arts and around Liverpool in the 80s and 90s the name of Mr Colwell would conjure images of a fearless warrior who practised what he preached, a legend that actually existed.
He now looks forward to spread the good words of such a great man and federation.
