The World Kobukan Federation World Medal
This medal is presented to outstanding individuals for their distinguished service to the world of Budo. This is the highest honor the World Kobukan Federation Kizuna has to offer and is a reflection of a lifetime of service in honor and unselfishness. The recipient embodies the best qualities of Budo and is an example for all those wishing to walk the true path of the Martial Spirit. Their life is one of contribution and historic preservation of the martial arts at a global level.

World Medal Recipients Named at Old Way 2 Seminar
The latest WKF World Medal recipients were named at the annual Old Way Seminar with Ronnie Colwell Sensei on the 15th of May, 2011. The names and photos of the Recipients is as follows:

Carlo Henke honored with WKF World Medal of Exellence
The late Carlo Henke, President of the World Union of Karate Do Organizations, WUKO, was honored with the WKF World Medal of Excellence by Ronnie Colwell Sensei at the 1st Annual Carlo Henke World Cup tournament in Italy, November of 2010. Carlo Henke Shihan had a lifetime of service to the world of the martial arts. He spread the message of unity throughout the BUDO world and represented the history of Italian Karate. Accepting the award on his behalf, was his son Sean Henke, pictured above with Ronnie Colwell Sensei.
Professor Sig Kufferath presented with WKF World Medal
The late Professor Sig Kufferath led a life of Budo distinction. He founded the Kaheka Lane Dojo in 1942 where he shared his knowledge of Budo with all who wished to walk the path. He has a Budo pedigree that is filled with examples of his unselfishness and desire to spread the budo message, give back to the community and live in the Martial Spirit. It is an honor to share with you on behalf of Ronnie Colwell Sensei, the presentation of the WKF World Medal of Excellence to Professor Sig Kufferath. Hanshi Jim Mather presented with WKF World Medal
Hanshi Jim Mather is synonymous with the Martial Spirit. He has epitomized the arts for more than 40 years helping and teaching students, sharing his knowledge with other Instructors and the world. His unselfishness and true understanding of the Martial Spirit are evident.
