WKF Israel Delegate Yehuda Mor

My name is Yehuda Mor. I was born in 1952 and by the age of 14 was training Jujitsu intensively with my sensei Jonah Aviv. Jonah had previously trained for many years in Japan and America. By the time I joined the Israeli Defence Forces at 18 I was a first dan. The four years in the army were as a frontline soldier fighting in many campaigns including the 1973 Yom Kippur war. The three years after the army were spent dedicated to my martial arts training spending my time both improving and instructing in many clubs and schools.

In 1977 the Israeli government recalled me to active duty in a specialist terrorist combat unit known as Ymam. Here I was both instructor and active combatant. My role was to develop specific fighting techniques to be used in the specialist situations we would encounter. As a unit we offered hostage solutions, kidnap situations and face to face combat in many different arenas. As the combat trainer of the elite unit I was also required to train visiting units form America and Europe. I stayed with Ymam until 1990 when the American government requested my services to train some of their presidential combat units in hand to hand hot and cold weapon fighting. The year spent in America was the same time I gained my 5th Dan.

In 1991 I returned to the Israeli government service to be integral in the set up and specialised training of a new combat unit known as Giddonim. I continued with this unit until 2008 as both active soldier and specialist combat technique development and instructor. As the specialism and application of the techniques and instruction I could offer were of such  direct value I was also greatly involved in American specialist forces training.

Now I am directly employed by the Israeli government for VIP protection around the globe.
